Our Pet Crematorium Services for Dogs and Cats
Losing a pet is one of the hardest experiences a pet owner can face. Our pet crematorium services for dogs and cats are here to make the transition as easy as possible. Dogs and cats become such an important part of our everyday lives that saying goodbye can feel incredibly difficult. At Companions Haven, we understand that your pet is not simply an animal. They are a much-loved member of your family, and they deserve to be treated with care, dignity and respect when the time comes to say goodbye.

Compassionate Pet Crematorium Services for Dogs and Cats
Every pet is different, and every family has their own way of saying goodbye. For some, making arrangements in advance could offer solace. For others, decisions must be made quickly after the loss of a much-loved companion. Whatever your circumstances, our team is standing by to help.
At Companions Haven, we offer individual pet cremation for dogs and cats, so you can be assured your pet will be cremated individually in their own private chamber. Once cremation is complete, we carefully collect the ashes and return them to you. We believe that knowing what will happen to your pet can make an incredibly difficult time a little easier. That is why we take the time to explain the process, answer your questions and help you make choices that feel right for you.

What Happens When Your Dog or Cat Comes into Our Care
When the time comes, you can choose to bring your pet to us yourself or ask us to collect them. Our peaceful garden room provides a quiet place to spend time with your dog or cat and say your final goodbye. There is no need to rush. We understand how important these final moments can be, and our caring team will be there to support you if you need us. If you would rather not make the journey, we can arrange to collect your pet from your home or veterinary practice. Home collection is free within a 10-mile radius of our Pucklechurch crematorium, with a mileage charge applying further afield.
If your pet is with your vet, we can arrange collection directly from the veterinary practice once you have given them permission to release your pet into our care. Whichever option you choose, we will handle your dog or cat with the same care and respect we would give our own pets.

Individual Pet Cremation for Peace of Mind
One of the most important decisions when arranging a pet cremation is whether you want an individual cremation. At Companions Haven, an individual cremation means your pet is cremated on their own in a single cremation chamber. We carefully follow identification procedures throughout the process, and our cremators are thoroughly cleaned between each cremation. After the cremation, we carefully remove the remains and prepare them for their return to you. With any individual cremation, we promise that the ashes returned to you are those of your beloved dog or cat.

Saying Goodbye in Your Own Way
There is no right or wrong way to say goodbye to a pet. Some people want to spend time with their companion before the cremation, while others find comfort in choosing a meaningful memorial for their ashes. We can handle personal requests wherever possible. You may wish to ask for a paw print or a small clipping of fur as a keepsake. These simple reminders can become incredibly precious in the weeks, months and years that follow. We also have a range of pet urns, caskets, keepsakes and memorial jewellery available, giving you different ways to remember your dog or cat.

Returning Your Dog or Cat’s Ashes
Once the cremation has taken place, we aim to return your pet’s ashes as quickly as possible, usually within a few days. You can collect the ashes from Companions Haven if you would like to return to us, or we can arrange for them to be delivered safely to your home. Where appropriate, we may also be able to arrange delivery back to your local veterinary practice. We know that receiving your pet’s ashes can be an emotional moment. For many families, however, having their pet back home provides important comfort and supports you through the next stages of the grieving process.

A Pet Crematorium You Can Trust
Choosing a pet crematorium is a very personal decision, particularly when you are already dealing with the loss of a much-loved dog or cat. Companions Haven has been caring for pets and supporting their owners for more than 30 years. We are proud to be a founding member of the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria (APPCC), an organisation that provides independently verified standards and a strict code of practice. As a small, family-run business, we believe that a personal approach matters. Our team are all pet owners, so we understand your relationship with your companion and how difficult it can be to make arrangements while you are grieving.
