What is a Bio Urn?

Made from 100% biodegradable materials, these bio urns for pets feature two separate capsules. The first is designed to contain the seeds or seedling of your choosing and the second is there to hold your pet’s ashes.

Once buried, the urn will begin to break down, turning the ashes into a tree over time. The bio urn can be planted indoors or outdoors, and you can choose almost any kind of plant, flower or tree to commemorate your special companion.

Simple to use, sustainable, long-lasting and highly innovative, this is a truly unique way to celebrate the life of your pet. Whether you have a cat, a dog, a bird, a rabbit or a reptile, you can turn them into a beautiful tree or plant in the afterlife when you choose a bio urn. The phosphate within the ash is used to fertilise and facilitate the growth of the tree and creates life from life – a rebirth of sorts if you will.

How to Plant the Tree Urn

1. Firstly, place your pet’s ashes in the bottom cone and then close the urn with the top capsule.
2. Next, open the top capsule and mix the ashes with soil before adding the seed or sapling.
3. Lastly, plant the urn around 3-5 from the soil’s surface and ensure its watered adequately.

Once the bio urn has been planted, make sure the seed or sapling has the right amount of light, humidity and fertilisation to allow it to grow and thrive.
